Jarring:
Any bludgeoning weapon enhanced with this property, sometimes known as "stunning," causes

any target that is successfully hit to make a
Fortitude save (DC 11) or be stunned for 1d4+1 rounds.

Price: +1 bonus.
[Note this ability is mentioned in Races of Faerūn as the stunning property,
but is not found in the appendix. I have since renamed it jarring to avoid
confusion with the subsequently printed "stunning" property in the Arms and

Sundering:
This property grants the wielder the ability to ignore weapon size and a +2 bonus on opposed attack rolls when striking at an opponents weapon. A sundering weapon also ignores the first 10 points hardness of any object it strikes.

SPECIFIC MAGIC WEAPONS

Anvil of the Blacksmith: This tool gives the user a +10 competence bonus on Craft (blacksmithing) checks. Caster Level: 6th; Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, creator must be at least 6th level; Market Price: 2,055 gp; Cost to Create: 1,145 gp + 80 XP; Weight: 160 lb.

Doorbreaker:
These +3 sundering mauls are used by dwarves to break through the doors, walls, guardian monsters, or anything else that gets in their way. Caster Level: 15th; Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, shatter; Market Price: 50,315 gp.

Forge of Smithing: These magical forges are some of the most prized dwarven creations. Moradin's holy symbol, a hammer and anvil, is always carved into the heart of the forge. Its image always appears in the flames of the forge whenever a masterwork item has been successfully crafted in its fires. The magical forge gives the user a competence bonus of +5 to +20 on all Craft (armorsmithing), Craft (blacksmithing), and Craft (weaponsmithing) checks. Caster Level: 11th; Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, creator must be at least 11th level; Market Price: 2,125 gp (+5), 5,500 gp (+10), 11,125 (+15), 19,000 gp (+20); Weight: 2,000 lb.

Hammer of Staggering Blows:
These +2 jarring warhammers are particularly
favored by the dwarves, for they allow the capture of prisoners for interrogation.

Whetstone of Keen Edge: This magical whetstone doubles the threat range of any edged weapon it is used to sharpen for one hour. For instance, if it sharpens a longsword (which has a normal threat range of 19-20), the now keen longsword scores a threat on a 17-20. Only slashing weapons can be sharpened by a whetstone. It does not stack with the keen property of magical weapons or the spell keen edge. Caster Level: 6th; Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, keen edge; Market Price: 16,200 gp; Weight: 1 lb.

Magic Item

Hammersphere: This magic sphere is 4 inches in diameter, made of silver and covered in small rubies. Etched into it in four places is the hammer-and-anvil symbol of the deity Moradin. When held aloft and activated with a command word, the sphere conjures forth a giant hammer. This hammer functions as a spiritual weapon, except that it inflicts 3d6 points of damage per hit. (You don't have to concentrate on the hammer or keep the sphere aloft while it functions.) The hammersphere is usable once per day.
