Pellinistra,

Thank you for your last correspondence, it fills my heart with joy to know the great works you are accomplishing at the Temple of Corellon. I know that I have left the family enclave in very capable hands.

Though your tasks are great in number I must ask that you consider one more. It seems that not all Shades' hearts are as dark as their person. Leevoth, confidante of Telemont, is not all that he appears to be. We have met on more than one occasion and each time he has proved to be less than malevolent in his heart and actions. This may seem insignificant in the Great War for Faruen, but in light of our loss at Anauroch, I believe that such things should be examined more closely. Please have patience to let me explain.

Should you not have heard by now, a great host was mustered to rid Faruen of the Shade menace. A fleet of over 500 Halruaan vessels were joined by armies of the Lords Alliance and Bedine in Anauroch. Perhaps the kings of men thought that stopping the Shades in the heart of ancient Nethereal to be auspicious. Unfortunately for them, Lord Shadow had been busy planning for this inevitable test of dominance for centuries. Just when we thought that the battle was well at hand, he displayed his. Across the sands of Anauroch stretched the shadows of the Scimitar Spires. Though the mountains appeared majestic and conical to the naked eye, their shadows were blunted as if their summits were missing. We soon learned why. Out of the midst of victory, twelve Netherese enclaves appeared to dash the hopes of all that dare to live in freedom. Great blue dragons leapt from the floating cities to rain ruin upon the allied armies of men. Such was the fate of the assembled forces of freedom that few will openly oppose Lord Shadow in the future. He has proven once again, that open defiance will be crushed.

This is where you may yet have a role in defeating an enemy that the combined armies of men have failed. Centuries ago Peraus Wands gifted a set of large mirrors to Lord Shadow. Now I know that not all shades are evil. I also know that in the plane of mirrors, there is an opposite double for our selves and others. Might it be possible to visit the plane of mirrors and find the opposite twins of Lord Shadow and his princes and then learn from them? What if one or more of them were evil? Than we would know which ones on our plane were true of heart and might provide refuge to the friends of liberty. What if the opposite of Lord Shadow divulged a fatal weakness? Pure speculation I know, but force alone will not unseat Lord Shadow. We must use cunning and the ancient wisdom of our race to see what others cannot.

Pellinistra, it would give me great comfort to know that one as skilled and tried as yourself were to search the temple archives for information pertaining to the plane of mirrors and its secrets. I would also be obliged if you were able to forward any information you find to me as well as information on the Tower of Light on the plane of shadows.

I know not yet what good will come of this, but with diligence and faith, we will overcome all adversity.

Respectfully,

Primula Easterling
